LEGISLATIVE PETITION FOR 1789, No. 20

Petition of Fairfield and Newberry County residents on the Broad River, inclusive of Shirer’s (sic) Ferry now vested in Richard Strother. Ferry was vested to Minor Winn, Esqr. In 1785 for 3 years. Request to vest it to Richard Strother for 14 years. Dated 16 Dec 1788. Signatures to petition follow.
